Dutch Cuisine cultural ambassadors and designers Lonny van Ryswyck and Nadine Sterk (Atelier NL) were the ambassadors for Dutch Design Week in 2017, together with architect Winy Maas (MVRDV) and journalist Marcus Fairs (Dezeen). This year, the choice was to select not two, but three ambassadors. This expansion was devised in order to augment the international accent of the ambassadorship, which is something all three ambassadors are known for. Since 2009, DDW has appointed two parties from the field of design as advocates of Dutch design in general and in particular for the week. They represent a good reflection of design across the board, and implement their network to form key connections.
